Send and Review Messages
Learn how to send and review messages in Contract Collaboration.
Introduction
You can use messages in Contract Collaboration to speed up communication on a contract by communicating with all relevant parties. Using messages ensures that all of your communications about a contract are saved.
To ensure messages are only seen by the people who they were intended for, people that are not part of your organization can only see messages that were sent directly to them or sent to everybody on a contract after the user was invited to view the contract.
How it works
Send a message
- Open your contract from the invitation email.
- On the right side of the page, select Messages.
- In the window that appears, choose whether you want to send a message to everyone, those in your organization, or specific recipients.
You can send three types of messages:
- Everyone: All parties who can view this contract at the time the message is sent can see the message.
- Your Organization: Everybody in your organization who has been invited to this contract can see the message.
- Specific People (+Message): Only the individuals you specify can see the message.
If you want to send a direct message to someone who isn't a collaborator, you first need to invite them to the contract. For more information, see Invite Colleagues and Collaborators to Review a Contract.
- Enter your message and select Post.
Messages you send also trigger an email that contains the details of the message and the contract it is related to.
Review sent messages
Reply to messages
