A Suppliers Guide to Coupa Sourcing

Walkthrough steps and references to participate in sourcing events.

This guide describes how to access a sourcing event and how to submit the information requested by the buyer. 

The fields and settings may differ between events depending on the scope. If something is not clear, please use the Messaging center at the bottom left on the platform to post a question to the Event team.

1. Getting Started

There are several ways you can begin to participate in a sourcing event: 

  • Receive an email invitation:
    This is sent by a buyer that has invited you to a particular event.
    Depending on the event settings this might lead you to participate though the Coupa Platform or through the Coupa Supplier Portal (CSP) .
  • Log in to the platform independently and participate in event:
    Register or log in to the CSP and participate in public sourcing events without invitation.

2. Learn about sourcing events

Sourcing events in Coupa may vary according to their type and privacy settings. These configurations will change the information you see about an event, and how the buyer selects a sourcing supplier.

3. Participate in sourcing events

The following steps are a high-level view of the general steps to participate in sourcing events. For more information, see View Sourcing Events.:

  1. Open the Event page to read more information.
    There are several ways you can see the Event page: 
    1. Selecting the View Event button in the invitation email. 
    2. Logging in to your account. For more information about event types by privacy settings, see View Sourcing Events..
      Note

  2. Read the Event Info page sections and fields.
  3. Agree to the Terms and Conditions of the event.
  4. Fill out required Questionnaires, upload Attachments and load Items and Lots.
  5. Click Submit Response to Buyer.
  6. Review event statuses to stay informed about sourcing events results.
