Set up a PayPal sandbox account

Creating a sandbox account is the first step in your PayPal implementation journey.

The Paypal sandbox allows you to create business or personal accounts. These accounts are used as pay-from or pay-to accounts. The pay-from account is a business account and is named the same as the corresponding Company Financial Account (CFA) in Coupa.

Steps to create a PayPal Sandbox Account

  1. Go to the PayPal Sandbox url and select Business Account.

  2. Click the Sign Up button and enter your credentials when prompted.

  3. Enter your business information.

    PayPal - Tell us about your business.
  4. You will be asked to confirm your email address. You can choose to skip this step in the sandbox. To skip the confirmation, click Next.
    PayPal - Confirm your email to activate your account.
  5. Upon completing the setup process, your sandbox account is created with a $0.00 balance.
